| or the Guardian online.
Amit vs Briatore
The former seems the nicer fellah but the latter has the connections and 'name' to raise our profile....and we've been in the news a fair bit albeit for upsetting folk.

| Bhatia hinted at Mittal increasing his share a while ago.
It's fair to say that the mix of disinformation coming from QPR makes it impossible to reach certain conclusions, but it generally appears that Briatore has been behind some of the more contraversial decisions made at QPR. He's been accused of intefering with team selection and orchestrating player purchases.
Briatore is high profile, and creates publicity, but one could argue that playing winning football would accomplish the same in a less disruptive way. Mittal, on the other hand, has been quiet, while his proxy, Bhatia, has always appeared thoughtful and incisive when quoted.
As I said, it's hard to know what is spin and what is real, but I if there really were a power struggle, I know where my allegances would be, if only because in Mittal I feel the interests of QPR would be far more of a consideration.

| Do we not remember Richard Thompson? It was his daddy that had all the money, did he spend, did he fuck.
Amit is only on the board due to his father in law, its a job at best, that don't mean the main main will suddenly start pouring loads of money in us, fact he lost billions of pounds these last few months due to his stocks going down the shitter I can't see him trying to buy flav out.
Amit came on board as he was one of Flavs contacts, personally I don't believe there will be any power struggle, its all paper talk and the normal shit stirring.

| Amit came on the board because Mittal was one of Bernie's contacts, not Flav's.
Thompson didn't work out well, but in hindsight, it was better management than many who followed. Regardless - Amit is not Richard Thompson, and Mittal is not David Thompson. Resources, relationships and involvement are all very different.

| And Bernie came in due to being one of Flavs contacts....
I agree with the way the Thompsons managed QPR,it was better then others that followed but saying that Jimmy Crankie could of done a better job then "the gang of four"
I just can't believe that some people are wanting Flav out, yes he has upset people, but you can't please some people all of the time.
Also the theory going about that Flav never knew about Amit's announcement yesterday is plain daft.
Nothing will come of this.

| | Well Joe, my point was that we have no idea what goes on behind the scenes, but *IF* there is a power struggle, I'd support the Mittal's. | | | |

| | Another power struggle could prove dangerous for QPR! 1 buys out the other & then he loses interest or even money, that would then leave us in a situation where the money leaves town & the bubble bursts!!! its all doom i tell ya! its all dooooom. | | | |

| Based on what - some smarmy groveling letter from yesterday?
Ben, I thought you had more intelligence to fall for this act of "I'm such a big QPR fan" etc which Amit gives off.
The truth is none of them are.Flav in my book deserve more credit then he gets, sure he makes mistake but I think under his reign we have never ever been in a better position.
For the record I don't like FB either.

| I never said I liked him, like I never liked Chris Wrong and all of his QPR love in's either.
But the difference is Flav is good for QPR, we need him, he gets us talked about and gives us a much higher profile.Don't mean I have to like him, truth is I think he is a cock but sentiment and business don't mix.

| I think I stated why I'd feel more loyal to the Mittal's were there a power struggle in my first message; not simply based on 'some smarmy groveling letter from yesterday'.
As stated, if Flav's value is in giving us higher profile and getting us talked about, I'd rather it were achieved through being successful on the pitch.

| We are one place of 4th place, we are in the last 16 of the carling cup.
No,we have not played brilliantly but its still early days.
I was never for the appointment of ID but I can understand why it was made. I also don't see why we have to split into two camps of for Mittal or for Flav etc.
We are all QPR are we not??

| Correct, that's why I said get shorty.
I'm sure he named the C club.
What relevance is that to QPR? W12 is fully understandable.
C club? He's chelscum isn't he!
Mittal can buy him out and have FB as a sort of figurehead for the press.
Mind you, the Kingfisher bloke on board would be nice!

| | Talking of positive stories, notice the Daily Mail, which has been one of the hottest at the neg stories, runs one single line on the fact that the club have guaranteed £35 maximum for away fans in future. | | | |
