QPR boss John Gregory admits he is in no rush to allocate the No.10 shirt vacated by former Rangers skipper Kevin Gallen.
Gallen was released at the end of last season after spending the second half of the campaign at Plymouth and has since joined MK Dons, leaving the number once worn by Stan Bowles and Rodney Marsh free.
However, Gregory has not ruled out starting the campaign without making a decision on who will wear the No.10 shirt.
He said: "It is a very coveted number at this club. There have been some great number 10s down the years, and outstanding individuals tend to have worn the shirt.
"I've kept it back so far, because you need to be a very good player to wear it. A lot is expected of you and, to a certain degree, I will be putting a lot of pressure on the person who gets it, so they will need to be able to handle that.

Well its a fair point i suppose not to give it to current squad member which would be the easy option. In fact the more i think about it...nice one JG. Though who on earth we can afford to fill it.....Idi Idi Idiakez please.

I completely agree - although I had rather hoped it hadn't been assigned because we had some incredible deal up our sleeve that was going to amaze everyone.
