| According to the Times, Gareth is likely to get the job full time. Whilst I love the fella, my cynicism is kicking in bigtime. I wonder how long it'll be before the fella in the GA tracksuit running the team from the bench's flowing locks appear to have taken on a silver tint, and "our Gareth" seems to be strangely chunkier and appears to be wearing blue sunglasses........and is shouting "Shaddupa ya face" at the ref...... | | | |

| GA is one of my favourite players in recent times (and having been fortunate enough to meet him on a few occasions a thoroughly nice chap) so is it wrong of me to hope he doesn't get the job? Whilst I wish him every success in his career I fear he'll get overwhelmed with the pressure and end up being unceremoniusly dumped a la Waddock (who fortunately is making a decent fist of it down Aldershot way). | | | |

| Agree with that Lloydy.
I just think that a stable headed ambitious young coach might not rock the boat as much as an ego head who will expect total control, and never get it, so long as he has Flavio's money.
I think there is a balance that can be struck between the team and the club. I think the fans need to see that and recognise the imput of Braitore as positive. I respect what he has done for Benetton and Renault as sporting outfits enough to have some faith in his ability to decide what he gets involved in and what he leaves to others.
I work for a Russian billionaire. OK it's not in football, but there are comparisions. I am given a decent amount of autonomy of decision and a lot of scope to make stuff happen, but at the end of the day, I know he owns the company and if he does not like a particular route, I'll happily look into alternatives. I'm not a yes man, but I do know that he did not make the amount of money he has made by being average at assessing situations. I would imagine Flavio is the same. I cannot believe he is dumb enough not to know he needs a knowledgeable football man at the helm on pitch decision making, just as he needs F1 experts running Renault on the track. But the big business, real economy stuff, he is much better set to decide than someone whose career to now was spent running around kicking a bladder.

| http://www.1cpublishing.eu/ For details of our high quality Russian merchandise (somewhere between Arshavin and Pavlychenko, I suspect!) I believe I even get a mention in the corporate tab! and the nearest I even came to managing (apart from our 12 year olds side) is the fact that we are the official distributor of EA's Fifa games in Russia! Ledesma and Parejo are superb in that! | | | |

| I think with the F1 season finishing next week, there is no way Flav is going to stay out of anything. He fancies himself as a manager, no doubt about it. | | | |

We do indeed Baz. That's where the boss made his mark! Starting out in 1991 when there were a lot of new russian businesses. Do you use it? 8-)
