At last Flav and his merry board members get to visit a champions league ground perhaps this will inspire them to get a striker to fire us to the premiership so we too (like stoke) can bore the pants off all the other teams as we fight relegation. I do not want to be new Ch***** so actually that might be fun. Turning up at Anfield just as they gearing up to finally challenge for the premiership (a competition that despite its lack of potential winners they have not bothered with till now) and send them home depressed. Living up north and failing to beat relegation fodder enough to depress anyone. Perhaps if we get beat by Utd kids we will need to think about it for a while, when I was growing up in eighties much prefered watching us doing well in div 2 than struggling in div 1 but football now global, our owners are global and a little visit to the premiership could be worth the pain of being thrashed by Arsenal. As Hull and Stoke have proved it might not be pretty but it is glamorous to be one of the new teams to make up the numbers. Tonight is just the start. . . . . . . . . . |
