anyone recall this chant (which was sung for almost 90 mins), in our home fixture with the straw chewing, Massey Fergusson lovers, back in about '78 - my memory says we were 2 or 3 up, then Ips levelled, or won the game.

To the tune of 'You're going home in a Lon-don am-bu-lance'.   

In fairness to the carrott crunchers they were the only people who generally loved the londoners but

thanks to clubs like millwall they soon realised what london was all about and the end result was as we see it now where they have there own thugs what a shame.

I remember back in 1969 where there females used to wait for us and our lads would get off with the females it used to be a paradise

Ipswich.............in nine years they go from girls on boys to girlie boys !!!!!!!   And all these years I was under the impression that sheep had held a special place in their hearts.

Don't know when Ipswich developed their own brand of trouble, but can confirm from first hand and boot knowledge that three youngsters from London got off a train in said city early one Saturday back in 75 ish (?) and got slightly roughed up by some Town supporters who had boarded the train at Manningtree. The three were myself, one Terry Hunt ( Wembley back then) and a bloke whose last name was Morse  ( sorry if you're reading this, can't recall anything else as I've gone senile), from Burnt Oak. Small triumph though, they never got my scarf.

Also remember hearing the chant ' Elton John and his homosexuals'.

Thde Elton John chant ("Elton John is a homosexual") was a giggle esp since I was only about 15 at the time. I was in the Upper Loft, must've been about 1981/2. Watford were good (young John Barnes etc) but the game was dire - that song was the highlight of the day!
