Apologies for the site being offline this morning (and possibly before).  All is back up and running again.

I've no idea what the cause was - I've done no recent tinkering, and spent yesterday in an A&E ward having broken a few bones in my foot.

My alibi is iron clad (or plaster clad, at least). Perhaps your highlighting a 'denial strategy' is, in fact, just a 'deflection strategy'?... I'm not one to point fingers, but what were you doing on Tuesday morning?

Tuesday morning? Sadly, mostly fixing my own broken systems, or just breaking them if they weren't!

Or in this case, desperately inspecting the various logs of an intermittently malfunctioning self-service system.

So your clever use of implied deflection stragey has failed, my friend. :-)

"stragey" is of course meant to be "strategy". But I've forgotten where the edit button is. Or even if there is one.
